Terms of Service
These terms apply to Khaleeji COD (“the Service”), a Shopify app published by Trifid Media LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
To use the Service you must:
- operate a Shopify store in good standing and be authorized to install apps on it;
- be 18 or older; and
- comply with Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy.
2. The Service
Khaleeji COD lets you:
- hide Cash on Delivery at checkout based on rules you choose (customer tags, cart value, first orders, products, emirates/regions or cities);
- show a clear Arabic or English name for Cash on Delivery;
- find customers with cancelled cash-on-delivery orders and tag them
cod-refused; and - estimate the shipping money lost on cancelled cash-on-delivery orders.
The Service only ever changes Cash on Delivery. It does not change card payments or any other payment method.
3. Plans and billing
- Free: USD 0. The Arabic/English name for Cash on Delivery and 1 checkout rule.
- Pro: USD 7.99 per month, with a 14-day free trial. Every checkout rule, the refuser scan and the money-lost report.
Charges are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice. You can cancel at any time by changing plans or uninstalling the app; charges already billed are not refunded except where required by law or Shopify’s policies. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice to active subscribers.
4. Your responsibilities
- You decide which rules to switch on and which customers to tag. You are responsible for making sure your rules and your checkout comply with the laws that apply to your store, including consumer-protection law.
- You are responsible for telling your customers which payment methods you offer and on what conditions, where the law requires it.
- Check that your rules work as you expect before relying on them.
5. Data and privacy
How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we access only the Shopify permissions listed there, we store no customer data on our servers, and we never sell data.
6. Acceptable use
You may not:
- copy, resell or redistribute the Service without our written agreement;
- reverse-engineer the Service or try to get around plan limits; or
- use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent or against Shopify’s policies.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will reduce refused or fake orders by any particular amount, or that rules will never hide Cash on Delivery from a genuine customer. The “money lost” figure is an estimate based on the shipping costs you enter.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales or indirect or consequential damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service in breach of these terms, Shopify’s policies or applicable law, including how you configure your rules.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and tell active merchants through the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Termination
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end the Service for breach of these terms. Sections 5, 7, 8 and 9 continue to apply after termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Dubai, unless mandatory law where you are based says otherwise.
